This project was an attempt to translate the experience of walking through Kennedy Plaza bus station, with the seemingly incongruous language of typographic form alone. It became a fertile site for me to explore my interest in creating a deliberate disjuncture between the narratorial content and narratorial style. I realized once the visual language has been designed and let loose on the page (or screen), the typographic characters seem to perform with an internal logic. It was also a chance to experiment with finding visual equivalents for multiple points of view - and explore how the space of the page, scale, and texture can create a new narrative structure.
